Custer County Transit, formerly Rotary Van Service, is a demand-response public transit service for Custer County that offers transportation services for medical appointments, shopping, social activities and delivery of food share packages for residents of Custer County, Silver Cliff, and Westcliffe.
Operation is Monday through Friday between the hours of 8am and 5pm. All ride requests must be made 24-48 hours in advance. All drivers are volunteers and are insured.
Custer County Transit operates four vehicles. The service functions on donations. Funds are also provided by the Town of Westcliffe, Custer County, Town of Silver Cliff, private grants, Community Foundation, Spirit Campaign and rider donations.
