Thanks to our donors, the Southern Colorado Space Museum is continually growing. With the funds we receive from this year’s Spirit Campaign, we hope to again fully fund our seventh field trip to the museum for the 5th-graders at Custer County Schools, where we maintain a display of an actual space shuttle tile in the school library to inspire students in the new aeronautics program.
Our collection is curated locally and is on permanent loan for exhibit at the Weisbrod Aircraft Museum at 31001 Maguson Avenue in Pueblo. A collection of artifacts also greets visitors to our own Butler Field air terminal.
Donations are used to cover shipping expenses for more artifacts to display. We procure most of our artifacts for free, but we pay for shipping, restoration, and upkeep. We appreciate every dollar we receive so we may continue to inspire future scientists and space lovers across Southern Colorado.
