Supporting the Health and Well-Being of Our Community’s Youth
The Mountain Valley Youth Wellness Fund is a new initiative of the Wet Mountain Valley Community Foundation, created to support programs and services that promote the physical, mental, emotional, and social wellness of young people in Custer County.
Rooted in the belief that a thriving community begins with healthy children and teens, this fund seeks to improve outcomes for youth by investing in activities that build resilience, confidence, and connection—from after-school enrichment and mentorship programs to mental health support and outdoor recreation.
Why Youth Wellness?
Young people in our rural community face unique challenges—and incredible potential. By coming together to support youth wellness, we help ensure that every child in the Wet Mountain Valley has the opportunity to grow up healthy, supported, and inspired.
This fund supports efforts that:
- Foster healthy development in youth ages 4 to 18
- Increase access to wellness-related programs and services
- Strengthen families and local support systems
- Address the root causes of stress, trauma, and disconnection
- Encourage healthy lifestyle choices and personal growth
How It Works
The Mountain Valley Youth Wellness Fund is a Purpose-Restricted Fund at WMVCF. Community members, donors, and partner organizations can contribute to the fund year-round.
