Our Mission

At Koscove Agricultural Learning Center, our mission is to provide hands-on agricultural education that connects people directly to the land. We believe learning is most powerful when experienced, whether it’s working with soil, tending livestock, managing water, or harvesting crops. By teaching practical skills, we empower learners of all ages to develop confidence, stewardship, and respect for agriculture’s vital role in our communities.

Our Vision

We envision a future where agriculture and conservation go hand in hand—where the next generation understands not only how to grow food, but how to care for the ecosystems and landscapes that sustain life. Through innovative programs in farming, ranching, irrigation, forestry, and wildlife management, we aim to prepare students and community members to become leaders in sustainability and guardians of the land.

Our Approach

Education at Koscove is immersive and inclusive. We emphasize real-world experiences over classroom theory, inviting participants to step into the field, greenhouse, pasture, and forest. From homestead skills like food preservation and animal husbandry to advanced topics in land and water management, we create opportunities that are practical, relevant, and deeply rooted in Colorado’s agricultural heritage.

Our Impact

By fostering a strong connection to agriculture, we not only build essential skills but also strengthen local food systems and rural economies. We are committed to ensuring that agriculture remains a viable, sustainable, and respected way of life. Our vision is to inspire lifelong learners who will carry forward the values of stewardship, responsibility, and resilience to meet the challenges of tomorrow.
